Building material instead of waste
Excavated soil accounts for around 65% of our waste and is sent to landfill at a cost. Rather than expanding landfill sites, processing the material into building material is the obvious choice.

Sound insulation
Earth has very high sound insulation values thanks to its high mass and density. Demanding requirements for building components can be met naturally with earth.

Thermal mass
Thanks to its high mass, earth gives rooms thermal inertia. It can absorb temperature and release it again through radiation. This enables stable and comfortable indoor temperatures, for example as protection against summer heat.

Natural humidity control
The nature of unfired earth gives it an extremely high capacity to absorb moisture. Moisture is taken up, after a shower for example, and released again once the humidity in the room drops. Peaks in humidity are evened out naturally.

Fire resistance
Earth is non-combustible, so the highest fire protection requirements can be met with earth building elements. A rammed earth wall just 25 cm thick already achieves a fire resistance class of REI90.

Renewable and CO2 storage
Timber stores CO2 as it grows, and it stays stored in the material over the lifetime of the building. A sustainably managed forest is even more effective, as young trees grow faster when old ones are removed.

Load-bearing despite low mass
Relative to its own weight, timber is highly resistant to tension as well as to compression and bending. It is therefore excellently suited to storey additions and allows for slender foundations.

Versatile workability
Timber can be worked with extreme precision. This enables optimised prefabrication of the components and then a fast construction sequence on site. Buildings can be delivered with the highest quality and low risk.

Schedule and cost certainty
Thanks to prefabrication under controlled conditions in the factory, time on the construction site can be minimised. This leads to early schedule and cost certainty, as uncertainties such as the weather carry less weight and discrepancies can be resolved in advance.

Quick Completion
Prefabrication enables a fast construction sequence and few emissions on site. This protects the neighbourhood from unnecessary construction noise and means the newly created spaces can be let sooner.
